The production of inoculated saplings is a 18-month process. Trees in the nursery are germinated in autumn and are inoculated by spring in preparation for planting. It is our policy not to let plants leave the nursery until an independent person has inspected them and approved their rate of infection with the black truffle, which occurs in May each year.
Orders may be placed at any time of the year. Confirmation of an order requires a 30% deposit of total price. On receipt of the deposit, detailed instructions will be sent to the purchaser on how to prepare the plantation site. Bear in mind that where land preparation involves liming, this needs to be done at least three months in advance of planting.
